Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. - JKPeV is a non-governmental organisation, founded in 2004 in Dresden. Its main aims are, i) to provide young people and adults the opportunity to actively participate in educational, cultural and art projects that have a social impact in their communities and help the participants develop their soft and professional skills as well as support them in becoming decision-makers, ii) use innovative non-formal learning methods, media and arts to achieve our goals; ii) to unlock the potential of Dresden's cultural diversity making the society more open and accepting, and iii) to promote understanding, equality and solidarity on local and European level. Its main areas of interest are EU Citizenship, active participation in the civic society, volunteering, Human Rights, Inclusion & Integration, History & Remembrance, Youth Work, Environment, Entrepreneurship, Sustainability and Cultural Heritage. JKPeV designs and implements international, regional and local projects, short-term and long-term ones, involving young people and professionals from different disciplines, sectors and cultural backgrounds. In addition, offers the opportunity to young people to further develop their competences through voluntary and internship opportunities (Bundesfreiwilligendienst, European Solidarity Corps, Erasmus placement, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs).
